Após instalado o PhpMyAdmin, fui anciosa ao navegador e digitei: "localhost/phpmyadmin" e apareceu a seguinte mensagem:
The requested URL /phpmyadmin/ was not found on this server.
Ou seja, quando instalamos o phpmyadmin com apt-get install phpmyadmin ele vai direto para o diretório /usr/share/phpmyadmin
Para resolver, no terminal:
# cd /var/www
/var/www# ln -s /usr/share/phpmyadmin
O comando ln criará um link simbólico com o diretório onde encontra-se o phpmyadmin.
Pronto!!! Agora é só digitar no navegador: "localhost/phpmyadmin" e vai funcionar...

Havia instalado Apache2 PHP MySQL e PHPMyAdmin e estava me deparando com erro.
